I've become very addicted to Masquerades and that time period. It just seems so lovely back then. Even if there was the black plague and everything.
So I wrote a poem on it, but there's more to the party then the title. (Actually it's a song, but I haven't figured out the accompaniment to it yet)
Since it's a poem, I'll post on here.
Enjoy.

THE MASQUERADE
This party
Doesn't seems as it should
Everything goes too fast
And we can only go so slow
Everything seems
Beyond Our measure
As were dancing in circles
We can only go so slow
As time goes
And we stay
The music keeps going as we dance
And slowly
Time stops
And were the only ones moving now
And it seems like forever
As time moves forward
To catch our breath
As the masquerade ends
These masks
They hide our faces
They hide our laughter
As we walk past each other
Everything seems
So Distant Now
As we look over our shoulders to our eyes
We can only go so slowly
As I go
And you stay
Will you call me back before it's too late
And I smile
As you wave
We're not so secret anymore
And it seems like forever
As time moves slower
To take it all in
As the masquerade ends
After it ends
Will we'll keep on dancing
Because It doesn't matter
The masks are off
As we stay
And they go
We'll attract attention but we won't care
And I'll look
As you stare
Our Eyes are smiling like our lips
And it seems like forever
As time moves back
To put the masks on our faces
As the masquerade starts again
